Introduction

Sciatica refers to irritation of the sciatic nerve, often due to a disc issue or spinal joint compression. It causes pain that radiates from the lower back into the leg.

Sharp or burning pain down the leg, tingling, numbness, or weakness. Symptoms may worsen with sitting or lifting.

Causes

Disc bulge, arthritis, spinal stiffness, or muscular tightness compressing the sciatic nerve.
