Introduction
The sacroiliac joints connect the pelvis to the spine. When irritated or unstable, they can cause pain in the lower back, buttocks, or legs.

Pain on one or both sides of the lower back, stiffness, difficulty standing from sitting, or discomfort when walking long distances.
Causes
Pregnancy, trauma, uneven loading, muscle imbalance, or repetitive strain.
