AFL (Australian Football)
Overview
AFL is one of the most physically demanding sports, combining sprinting, jumping, tackling, and directional changes—all of which place serious stress on the entire body.
Common Injuries in AFL
Hamstring strains, ACL ruptures, shoulder dislocations, and ankle sprains are all common. Chronic groin pain (osteitis pubis) and concussion risk are also high.
Assessment Approach
We begin with a full musculoskeletal assessment, movement screening, and strength testing—often using GPS data or game footage if available. This helps us pinpoint deficits in mobility, power, or control.
Rehab & Return to Sport Plan
From early-stage loading to sprint drills and match simulations, your rehab will mirror game demands. We incorporate agility work, endurance conditioning, and contact readiness to rebuild confidence and performance.
